Christmas Calligraphy Workshop
Join Mellor & Rose this festive season on our special Christmas Calligraphy Workshop, suitable for complete beginners and intermediates! Christmas and Calligraphy go hand in hand, a perfect match and we couldn’t be more excited to share the joys of Calligraphy with you.
Guided by expert tutors; Lucy & Polly Mellor, we'll begin by learning the core fundamentals of Calligraphy including how to hold the dip pen, learning the pressures and rhythms that give calligraphy its characteristic contrasting strokes before moving onto learning the script alphabet and how to link letters.
After learning the core technique, here we look at all the Christmas themed pieces including first words and phrases, drawing festive decorative illustrations and flourishes to complement your calligraphy along with lettering on stationery pieces including Christmas card and Christmas gift tags.
Finishing with lettering up a bespoke seasonally theme piece of wall art, ready for you to gift to a loved one or perhaps frame for your home.
